The role is working in a fast-paced environment at Manchester Airport, alongside our prestigious Airline partners, helping to ensure their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world.

Job Summary

At dnata we handle a variety of cargo, ranging from live animals through to luxury cars, ensuring it is safely and securely prepared ready to travel. The role involves planning and scheduling routing for airport to airport delivers throughout the UK & Ireland.

Job Requirements

• Communicate with internal and external customers
• Organise and allocate daily schedule, routes and capacity for a team of drivers
• Organise and supervise vehicle loading / unloading to DVSA standard and trailer availability
• Ensure all required driver and accounting documentation is completed and filed accordingly
• Ensure service and maintenance plan for vehicles is planned, defects actioned and communicated to workshops in a timely manner
• Ensure full compliance is adhered to reference vehicle weight, driver hours and vehicles being safe and road legal
• Manage ABS/TMS system and a good working knowledge of MS Office
• Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment
• Class 1 + E desirable but not essential
• Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report

Hours of work:

• 42 hours per week over Mon-Fri shifts
• The job holder must have a flexible approach to working variable shift patterns within our 24-hour operation
