HR Assistant - 1 Year Fixed term Contract - Heathrow Cargo and Transport 

We are seeking an HR Assistant to be based at London Heathrow, supporting our Heathrow Cargo and Transport sites. The HR Assistant will support the HR Business Partners.

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Assistant you will be assisting the HR Business Partners with business area workload, supporting managers with ER issues, absence processes, including taking minutes general administration duties such as scanning, keeping employee files up to date etc. deliver HR briefing at induction training. Updating the HR people system will be required on a regular and ongoing basis to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data and dealing with staff queries. Liaising with payroll for queries relating to employee's issues and issuing contracts and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, on own initiative, and under pressure
  • Excellent IT skills including Word and Excel
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Discreet and professional, confidentiality is paramount
  • Good communication skills including written and verbal
  • Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment
  • Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report.

Hours of work

  • 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility required to support other areas of the business or stations if necessary.
