Job Requirements
- Strong Operational Manager responsible for overall smooth running of the Ramp and Baggage Operation, ensuring both departments work cohesively and safely to meet deadlines and service requirements
- Promote at all times the Vision, Mission and Vales of dnata, ensuring these are adhered to at all times
- Ensure operational plans are delivered to meet SLA's requirements and customer expectations
- Ensure deadlines and service level agreements are achieved
- Ensure compliance in relation to company airport & CAA procedures
- Maintain a safe working environment
- To ensure accuracy of paperwork and documents within dispatch / operations department
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure operational targets are met whilst making safety a priority
- Understand SOPs/safe working practices and ensure they are followed
- Understand role objectives and how to achieve them
- Liaise with customers whether internal or external, and management teams across all departments
- Maintain a disciplined workforce
- Ability to work in line with budget
- Customer Service and Standards focused
- Best Practices - Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals
- Recruitment and management of staff and resources to achieve required service response, quality and cost performance indicators
- Development and oversight of staff appraisal and supervision systems and in line with required competencies
- Resolving performance issues among staff
- Problem Solving – adapting to the ever changing environment and reacting quickly to meet challenges.
- Planning– being proactive and ensuring future operational plans are clearly covered, including team rosters, re rosters and shift swaps
- Ensure capita system is regularly updated
- Complete HAL scorecard
- Attend HAL meetings
- Financial forecast & planning models
- Meeting and HAL command
- Cover aspects of Business Managers workload when on annual leave
- Ensure deadlines and service level agreements are achieved
- Ensure compliance in relation to company airport & CAA procedures
- Maintain a safe working environment
- To ensure accuracy of paperwork and documents within dispatch / operations department
