This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in ensuring passengers' baggage reaches its destination safely and efficiently. Working closely with airlines, passengers, and airport colleagues, you will play a vital role in maintaining smooth baggage operations while delivering exceptional customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage baggage processing, including re-routing, re-flighting and tracing delayed or missed bags.
  • Assist passengers with baggage enquiries, claims and complaints, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Liaise with airline representatives and operational teams to ensure efficient baggage handling.
  • Use airline systems, WorldTracer and Baggage Reconciliation Systems (BRS) to track and manage baggage movements.
  • Coordinate baggage deliveries and support baggage search activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, airport regulations and industry standards.
  • Support operational efficiency by maintaining reclaim areas and undertaking manual handling duties when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently when needed.
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns and operational requirements.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety practices in a busy operational environment.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience with WorldTracer, BRS or airline systems is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
